Disney's Kim Possible

a fan essay by nachonaco

Disney's 'Kim Possible' has been almost an automatic hit since it's addition to Disney Channel on June 7th, 2002. The Kim Possible website at tvtome.com boasts a count of at least 48 thousand visitors per month, generally more if a new episode is aired.

The show, with teen heroes Kim Possible (voiced by the Disney Channel's Christy Carlson Romano) and Ron Stoppable (voiced by Will Friedle, also Disney Channel), often lampoons classic spy shows such as James Bond, including references to villainous cliched plots, such as Ron's line in an episode: "Usually the villain says his lame pun and then walks out. Y'know, leaving us to our doom."

However, it is not only the heroes that make the show what it is. John DiMaggio (of Futurama fame) and Nicole Sullivan (MADtv) join the voice cast as the duo Drakken and Shego. Shego is the 'all business' one, while Drakken (who actually claims to be the leader) is somewhat of a buffoon and not too smart.

Kim Possible has a wide fanbase in age ranges from 10-45, many are attracted because of witty dialogue. There are a few message boards on the web where users can go and discuss episodes, characters, or just interact with other internet users.

Now that the essay is finished, time for some quotes:

Shego: INTRUDER ALERT!
Drakken: Can't hear you! Intruder alert too loud!
~Tick-Tick-Tick

Kim: Just once I'd like to make her (Bonnie, Kim's rival) eat her words.
Monique (Kim's best friend): They are low carb.
~Kim Possible: So the Drama

Ron: Oh yeah! They bad, you sad! They bad, you sad!
~Exchange

And possibly the COOLEST, most threatening line on the series....so cool I must change the format...

My personal favorite...

"I'd send you a postcard from Iceland, but they don't deliver mail where you're going!" ~Shego, Ron Millionaire
