If You Met Pocahontas
If You Met Pocahontas, published by Golden Books in 1996 is a simple, semi-educational
look at Pocahontas' life in Virginia, showing how they lived, cooked, farmed, and other things. The
artwork is lovely and original, building upon the movie's designs really well.
The Voice of the Wind
The Voice of the Wind by Golden Books (1995) is an original story presumably
set prior to the film. In it, Pocahontas is struck by the desire to explore, bringing her friends
Meeko and Flit down the river and eventually into a cave where they discover a bear.
Golden Books Novelisation
This is the Golden Books (Junior) Novelisation picture book, released around the time the
movie was, and retells the story in picture form.
The Raccoon's Tale
Also a picture book novelisation released by Golden Books in 1996, Pocahontas:
The Raccoon's Tale is slightly different in that it retells the story of the movie from Meeko's
perspective.
