ARISTA'S BOYFRIEND

Chapter 2

The next morning Arista woke up and went to the throne room. Her father was already there and so were her sisters. Arista said good bye to all her sisters and said she would see them again. Then she and Triton went to the surface.

When they reached the surface the two swam to the cove that Ariel and Eric had made for Merpeople to come and visit them. Ariel and Eric were waiting there when Arista smiled happily at them. Arista turned to her father and gave him a big hug.

This is not the end father, I will return home again soon.

I pray for that Arista, I don’t want to lose two daughters to the human world.

With that Triton pointed the trident at Arista and she was turned human. Arista got out of the water and hugged and kissed her sister then kissed Eric on the cheek. Ariel looked back at her father and hugged him.

I love you daddy, come visit us more and tell my sisters that too.

I will Ariel, and you look after your sister, I don’t want to lose another daughter to a man on land.

Triton looked at Eric and said, “ not that you aren’t the finest man I have ever met Eric.”

No, DAD I know it must have been hard for you to give up one daughter, let alone two, and I thank you for allowing Ariel to be my wife.

Triton smiled at the happiness on Ariel’s face. Then he turned to the water ,waved goodbye, and went back home. As he left he went back up and saw his two daughters and thought to himself what would Poseidon think if he saw me now?

Arista, I am sorry to hear about you and Luke, but I am glad you are here, said Ariel.

Well, I guess not all people can be as lucky as you and Eric are, I just wish I could get one guy.

You will Arista, maybe you are just not looking in the right place, look where I found my soul mate, said Ariel as she winked at Eric.

Well enough about that, why don’t I show you to your room and then you can meet the rest of Eric’s family. The trio walked into the castle and Ariel took Arista to the room she would be staying in. It was in an underwater theme so Arista would feel right at home. The bed was a giant seashell and the desks and closets were made from old dead coral. The sheets were made of sea silk and had pearls all over the side of the bed. It was a myriad of under the sea beauty mixed with land style.

When Daddy told me you were coming I knew this was the perfect room for you to stay in. It is where I stayed when I first stayed in the castle.

Oh Ariel it is so perfect, it reminds me of home said Arista.

I am glad you like it, repeated Ariel.

There is a dress in the closet, we are going to have a picnic in the meadow today so why don’t you put on the dress and come downstairs, I will show you what horse you can ride.

Ha Ha Horse, said a nervous Arista.

Don’t worry Arista horses are not very different from seahorses except horses use legs to run instead of tails.

Oh ok Ariel.

Ariel left the room and Arista went to the closet to look for the dress, she had never worn a human dress before except for the one she wore when she was transformed into a human. After some difficulty she got the dress on and looked in the mirror. She wondered how Ariel ever wore these things and even walked with legs. She left the room and walked downstairs. She was then introduced to Grimsby, Carlotta, Louis, and other workers in the palace. Then they proceeded to the stables and Ariel showed Arista, Jesse

A spirited young pony who was a lot like Ariel, curious, adventuresome, but safe and calm. Arista stepped up onto the saddle and fell over. Just as she was about to hit the floor Damon the stable hand caught her.

You need to be more careful miss, said Damon.

Oh yes you are right, I just am not used to riding these kinds of horses, stuttered Arista.

What kind of horses are you used to riding? Damon asked her.

Well usually I have a tail and the horses are sea horses, retorted Arista.

Oh you must be lady Arista, princess Ariel told us you were coming to visit. My name is Damon. I will just have to teach you how to ride land horses.

That would be most appreciated Damon.

Arista took hold of the horn on the saddle and jumped up on the horse, Damon helped her up holding her hand the whole time. Her hand felt so warm and light next to his hard, manly one. He then went over and saddled his own horse and they were off in a few minutes. Damon took her to the ring and showed her the way you ride land horses as Arista called them. As she finished her lesson Damon said he would escort her to the meadow where they would have the picnic. As they went along, Arista suddenly made a weird movement and Jesse reared up and started galloping away.

Damon, yelled Arista.

Hold on Arista I am coming yelled Damon back to her.

Damon pushed his horse into a fast canter and caught up to Arista and Jesse. He grabbed the reigns on Jesse and stopped the horses. Damon jumped off his noble steed and ran over to Arista. He lifted her off and asked, “are you all right?” Arista just started laughing.

That was the most fun I have ever had on land or sea.

Damon told Jesse to ride back to the stables and took Arista on his own horse to where the picnic was being held.
