Chapter 2
The Departure

 

That night at dinner Eric and Ariel decided to tell Melody what was going to happen tomorrow.

So Melody we have some news to tell you, said Ariel and Eric in unison.

Tomorrow at sunrise we are leaving to spend the summer in Atlantica.

Melody got up and jumped up and down for joy screaming one of those teenagers I can't believe this is happening screams.

Are we really, asked a really excited Melody?

Eric and Ariel both shook their heads yes as Melody came over and gave her parents the biggest hug she had ever given them before.

This is so great said Melody; I was just thinking today I should become a mermaid again when Crysta and Jeremy wicked me real hard with both their tails.

Thanks again mom and dad.

Well, I better get to bed; we have a big day tomorrow.

Good night honey, sweet dreams said Ariel.

Night mom, night dad.

That night Melody fell right to sleep and dreamed what the next four months would hold in store for her.
