Eric and Ariel looked at each other and then looked at their beautiful daughter and smiled.

Melody, we knew someday you would choose this just like your mother choose to become human, and we want you to know we love you so much and respect your wish of love.

Melody went to Jeremy and they went for a swim she told him about how grandfather had told her and what she had talked about with her parents about.

It was nearly sunrise when Melody took Jeremy's hand and said this, " Jeremy, I know you and I both felt something when we kissed, and don't try to deny it."

Jeremy I love you, I love you more than anything in the whole world both land and sea.

That is why I have decided to errantly become a mermaid.

Jeremy, I want to spend the rest of my life with you, will you marry me.

Jeremy looked at her and said yes Melody, I will marry you.

They wanted to kiss but they had a fear of what might happen so they each gave each other a kiss on the cheek.

They swam back up to the palace and into the grand hall for breaks fest.

By now everyone had heard what had happened to the two and when they entered the room all eyes were on them.

Every one we have an announcement to make said Melody and Jeremy together.

I have made my decision about which part of the world to live in.

I am going too permanently stay a mermaid said Melody.

We also have made another decision said Jeremy as he looked at Melody.

We are going to get married.

Every one cheered and Ariel started crying, not tears of sadness but of joy for her daughter's great news.

Eric and Ariel swam up and hugged Melody and Jeremy both one and then the other.

The next week was filled with lots of planning like what type of food, who was going to be there. etc. etc. etc.

One day, Melody was taken aside by all of the seven daughters of Triton and taken to a place she had never been in the castle before. Melody this is where our mother used to like spending her time, it was her favorite room in the Palace.

The room was small and had all seven picture of her daughters on the wall but the way the light moved through the water here was almost otherworldly.

On the table was a box with a big bow on top of it.

Melody, went over and opened it.

Inside was the most gorgeous dress she had ever seen before in her life.

Melody this was my mothers wedding dress, each one of your aunts has wore it at their wedding and when I married your father, he had it transformed so that it

Could fit it for a human.

It has never been worn before by a princess of land and sea and we would like you to wear it at your wedding.

Melody looked at the dress, then she looked at her mother and aunts and started to cry.

Oh mom said Melody thank-you. I don't know what to say.

She hugged every one in the room.
