Chapter 10
A wedding of two worlds

At about 10:00 in the morning Jeremy went riding with Eric in the country side on their sea horses.

Jeremy, said Eric, Jeremy you are getting married tomorrow to the most beautiful princess I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

You are a wonderful young merman, I have watched you and Melody grow up together and if I could pick anyone to marry Melody from either world I would choose you to be my son-in-law.

I want you to remember this always for it is something I think about each and every day.

She loves you so much she is willing to give up everything she ever knew to be with you.

Jeremy looked back at Eric and said, Eric, I am the luckiest being on the planet to have you as my father-in-law and Melody as a future wife.

They both hugged and returned home.

The next morning Melody woke up and thought, I'm getting married today.

She arose and went into their living room area. Eric and Ariel were already up.

Good morning miss bride to be.

Mom, Dad, we need to talk.

They all sat down on their couch and Melody started to talk.

I want you to know, it was not easy for me to make this choice. I love you both so much.

I just always wanted to be apart of the sea and I have always secretly wanted to be with Jeremy ever since I saw him that day I went to Atlantica.

Mom you know exactly what I am talking about.

Melody I know and we respect your choice.

For some reason, I knew you would not return home with us even before all of this happened.

The wedding was all set and ready to go. Every one had arrived and were sitting in their chairs, the groom was at the altar along with his best man. Crysta was dressed and up waiting at the top of the church and everyone was wating for the bride.

Behind the doors of the church was Melody and right next to her was Eric.

I bet you never thought you would be swimming me down the isle instead of walking me said Melody.

Oh it was always a possibility repeated Eric.

Dad, I want you to know, I love you so incredibly much.

I know Melody, I know said Eric.

As the doors opened, Melody along with Eric swam down the isle to the front of the church.

Eric, lifted Melody's veil and kissed her softly on the cheeks while whispering, I will always love you.

He bowed to Jeremy and Jeremy did the same and took his place next to Ariel.

The service started and then came the vows.

Jeremy do you take Melody to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, till death do you part?

I do vowed Jeremy.

An do you Melody take Jeremy to be lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in being a mermaid for the rest of your life, till death do you part?

I do vowed Melody.

I know by the country of Atlantica dub you husband and wife you may now kiss the bride.

Jeremy and Melody then kissed just like they had at the party the Whirlpool came upon them, but this time it pushed Jeremy out of the way.

It lifted Melody up into the air and a strange light came around her.

She started to twirl around the room as if she were a ballerina.

In a couple of minutes it stopped and she swam up into Jeremy's arms.

They kissed again positional and Melody looked up at her husband and said it is done, I am yours.

The night went on and the happy couple went to the room they were going to stay in the Palace.

Now for the first time ever Melody was going to get in bed with a man.

Previous to her wedding her Aunt Aquata told her how merpeople make other merpeople and Melody was ready to do it.

She got in bed with her husband and by the time morning came Melody had never felt closer to a person before in her entire life.
