Malius

Years had passed since the marriage of Arista and Damon. And Arista had amazing news she was to be blessed with a son by the name of Malius. He would be the first prince the kingdom had seen in a hundred years (since the birth of King Triton). Arista and Damon were rushing the making of the royal nursery for soon any day now, the day would come for the arrival of Malius. Arista was with Aquata and Adrina, preparing the nursery when Damon snuck up on her. With a quick rap of his arm around her stomach he gave Arista a quick kiss on the cheek.

Damon you know I hate it when you sneak up on me, gasped Arista.

I know but I can’t help it you are just so easy to scare answered Damon back.

Oh I hope the baby is as handsome as his father said Arista as she gave Damon a quick peck on the cheek.

And I hope he is as outspoken as his mother said Damon as he pulled her into an embrace.

Come on lets go on a swim up to the surface suggested Damon.

Arista took Damon’s hand and went off to the surface with her one true love. Little did she know that Damon had something miraculous planned for Arista when they got to the place he was taking her. As they penetrated the surface Arista flung her hair forward ( now where have we seen that before) into the crisp, cool air of the world above. After this she realized Damon had taken her to the place where they had first told each other they loved each of them. On the beach was a picnic blanket with all the food Arista had first eaten on the first day of her being a human.

Beside the beach were Ariel, Eric, and little Melody. Arista turned to Damon and smiled.

You planned this didn’t you.

No Duh.

They swam up to the shore and pulled themselves up onto the warm sand. It was a beautifully sunny day, and everything was perfect.

Aunt Arista screamed Melody once she was up on the shore. She gave her a huge hug and sat down right next to her. Melody saw her aunts scales shimmer in the sun and stared in wonder.

When you are older Melody you will have to convince your parents to let you come visit us for a summer.

Really oh Aunt Arista that would be so wonderful.

The afternoon went on and everyone was having fun splashing in the water when Arista gasped in pain.

Damon she yelled. Immediately Damon was at Arista’s side.

It’s time hollered Arista.

Knowing there would not be enough time to get back to Atlantica Ariel yelled for the royal doctor to come to the beach immediately. Luckily after Ariel went to live in the Palace she had the doctor educated in the ways of Merpeople.

An hour later Arista was holding Malius in her hand the proud new mother of a beautiful baby boy. As Arista looked up into Damon’s eyes she kissed him and Damon smiled at the brand new baby boy that was being held in is wife’s eyes.
