Music: Instrumentals

The original soundtrack and Legacy soundtrack for The Little Mermaid contain tracks of instrumental music from the film. On this page I give some basic description of exactly where in the film the music is used.

This info is on the main music page, where it can be seen if you hover your mouse on top of the track name, but since that's not accessible on some devices, I've listed out all the descriptions here as well.

  18. Wedding Announcement - From Scuttle flying into Ariel's room to wake her up with the "good news" of Eric's engagement, through Vanessa's arrival, until Ariel's tear drops into the ocean in front of Flounder.
  19. Eric To The Rescue - From Eric's rowing off from the wedding barge in a rowboat, through the battle and until Ursula's remains sink into the ocean.
  20. Happy Ending - From Triton's trident sinking into the water, until the very last scene of the film.

  7. Triton Reprimands - From the moment Flounder rushes forward to defend Ariel to Triton and Sebastian, until Ariel swims off in tears.
  8. Sebastian's Dilemma - From Sebastian's walking away from King Triton, to his sneaking into Ariel's grotto and hitting the hourglass.

  15. Sebastian and Triton - From Sebastian gasping, "He knows!" to the seahorse, to Sebastian telling Triton, "Who said anything about humans?" and Triton grabbing him.
  16. Destroying the Grotto - From Ariel's first seeing the Eric statue in her grotto, to when she starts crying on the rock.
  17. Flotsam And Jetsam - From Triton's sad glance at Ariel as he leaves the grotto, to Ariel's saying, "Wait," to Flotsam and Jetsam.
  18. Ursula's Lair - From Sebastian and Flounder first seeing Ariel swimming with Flotsam and Jetsam, to just before Poor Unfortunate Souls. Strangely, this track goes on a few seconds longer, past the point in the film where Poor Unfortunate Souls starts.

  20. She's Got Legs - From Eric's playing the fife on the beach, to Ariel's standing up for the first time and falling over.
  21. Sebastian Relents - From Sebastian's saying "You could go home with all of the normal fish and just be..." to Scuttle's saying, "Now, Ariel, I'm telling you..."
  22. On Land - From Ariel posing with her rag-dress, to Sebastian fainting in Chef Louis's kitchen.
  23. Miss Manners - From Ariel's entrance in the dining room in the pink gown, to Carlotta's saying, "Chef's been fixing his specialty, stuffed crab."
  24. Les Poissons - The track extends past the end of the song through the can-can (Offenbach's Infernal Galop) to Chef Louis's final crash against the shelves.
  25. Crab on a Plate / Bedtime - From Grimsby's saying, "Something in the the way of a tour?" through Ariel's bedtime scene, to King Triton saying, "What have I done?"
  26. Tour of The Kingdom - From the morning sunrise over Eric's palace, to Ariel and Eric riding the carriage into the sunset.
  27. Kiss The Girl
  28. Ariel Left Behind - From Flotsam and Jetsam shaking tails after topping Ariel and Eric's boat over, through Vanessa's arrival, up until Ariel's tear drops into the ocean in front of Flounder.
  29. Poor Unfortunate Souls (reprise)
  30. The Truth - From Scuttle's flying to Ariel on the pier with news of Ursula, to Scuttle flying off with the seals and other animals following him.
  31. Interrupting the Wedding / Ursula's Defeat - From Eric and Vanessa walking down the aisle, through the final battle up until Ursula's remains sink into the ocean.
  32. Happy Ending - From Triton's trident sinking into the water, until the very last scene of the film.
