Party with Me

Okay, this song took me by surprise. It's from the Songs from the Sea concept album and is set at the mermaid's ball where they've decided to play a very fun sixties-type pop dance song that I wouldn't have associated with Atlantican balls (but hey, I can be convinced). It gives Jodi Benson something different to sing, too, which is always fun.

(printable version)

Ariel:
It's time for the ball!

Triton:
Let the festivities begin!

Chorus:
La-aaaaaaa
La-aaaaaaa
La la la la

Ariel:
Just hear that sweet harmony
We love to sing a good song
It's happenin' under the sea
Bring a friend and come on along

There's a party below
Now get ready to go
And we'll sing in the moonlight
What a great place to be
Come with me and party tonight

Come on, party
Party in the sea
Party
Party with me

Catch a wave or even hail a crab
Bring your mom and your dad

(We'll be laughing)
We'll be laughing
(At our troubles)
At our troubles
Dancing and blowing bubbles

As soon as it is high tide
That's what the party begins
Sebastian's band plays a tune
We start to kick up our fins

Now the music's so clear
And we're all up to here
The whales sing with all their might
Come with party in the sea on Saturday night

Come on, party
Party in the sea
Party
Party with me

We can jam with all the jellyfish
And play whatever we wish

(We'll be rowing without oars)
We'll be rowing without oars
Surfing without any boards

Party
Party in the sea
Party
Party with me

Party
Party in the sea
Party
Party with me

Party...

Sebastian:
Ariel, where you going, girl?

Ariel:
There's something important I have to do. I've got to write a letter!
