Based on the tale of Swan Lake, The Swan Princess is a gem because of its innocent and simple storytelling of yesteryear, the kind that a generation since past grew up with. It's lighthearted, funny, touching and doesn't take itself too seriously, and is one of the better non-Disney animated movies, although it's been seriously overlooked.
