This board book is for younger readers, and just features Ariel and Flounder swimming around.

This charming story starts out with Ariel helping Laurel, a young girl in Eric's kingdom, prepare for a concert. When Laurel goes missing, Ariel goes on an investigation to find her, and is surprised when her search leads her to the underwater kingdom that is her childhood home. This fun illustrated novella also features Ariel having learned the freaking piano during her time as human, and becoming a sufficient expert on her new home that she can correct Scuttle when he's wrong about human things.

This story has also been titled as "The Secret of the Star Shell" when included in one of the "Princess Storybook Collection" books and the "5-Minute The Little Mermaid Stories" collection.

Her sisters and father aren't as supportive as Flounder, but Ariel has her own ideas now that a whole new world has been opened to her.
