This is the original official comic book adaptation of the film, published by Marvel close after the film's release, and retells the whole story. There have been a few re-releases of this comic with various covers, plus a digital update with new colouring over the original images, you can see samples of it on the comics page. This is a retelling of the movie but through the style of a diary literally written by Ariel herself. Realistically Ariel wouldn't have had time to "write" a diary like this and she comes off sounding very young, but it's pretty cute and creative in places.

This is a Golden Easy Reader picturebook novelisation, for younger readers and only covering the early section of the movie.
